Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy after surgery is an important part of the recovery process and Killarney Vale Physiotherapy has a great working relationship with reputable Central Coast and Sydney Orthopaedic Surgeons. We have developed post-operative protocols, in consultation with orthopaedics specialists, to guide you through your rehabilitation. Our ultimate aim is to allow you to reach your recovery milestones and return to your choice of sports or recreational activities within the best possible time-frames.

Hydrotherapy
Killarney Vale Physiotherapy operates weekly hydrotherapy sessions at Forrester’s Beach Indoor Pool. Hydrotherapy is an excellent treatment medium allowing low impact exercise. The heated water is soothing allowing ease of movement enabling patients to perform ROM, strengthening and cardiovascular exercise. We particularly utilise hydrotherapy for:

Supervised Gym Programs
On a weekly basis, Killarney Vale Physiotherapy utilise Forrester’s Beach Indoor Gym to perform supervised gym exercises. This service is accessible to all our patients and as it is a physiotherapy class, health fund rebates apply. Physiotherapy guided gym programs are an ideal way to improve your strength and fitness and will reduce the risk of injury associated with exercises. Our supervised gym programs are suitable for.

Dry Needling
Our physiotherapists have post-graduate training in the use of dry-needling, a western form of acupuncture. If appropriate, our physiotherapists will use dry needling as an adjunct to your treatment. We have found it to be beneficial in many patients, as it is helpful in treating difficult muscle trigger points that have not improved with our conventional manual treatments.
Orthotics
We stock a wide range of premade orthotics and we are also able to make custom-moulded orthotics. Orthotics may be recommended by your physiotherapist in the treatment of some lower limb injuries.
Pre-employment Services
The physiotherapists at Killarney Vale can perform pre-employment assessments/functional assessment for local and interstate companies. This service can be tailored to the companies needs depending on the detail of assessment required. Our physiotherapists have many years of experience performing pre-employment assessments.
